MyoPhone is an intimate interface demonstrating initial versions of the Notifying Glasses, Intimate Communication Armband, and a high resolution eyeglass display. The devices are wirelessly connected with Bluetooth, and interface with a mobile phone. During an incoming call, the user receives a peripheral notification cue from the glasses. With a brief and subtle contraction of the upper arm, the user requests more information about the caller, displaying the caller id in the central high resolution display. With another muscle contraction the call can be dismissed and a pre-defined text message sent to the caller. Otherwise the call can be answered normally.
With MyoPhone users can respond to an incoming call without disrupting their immediate environment, even while in a face-to-face conversation.
