I went on a road trip from December 27th to January 1st, with some other summer scholars, around the outskirts of Sydney to the Blue Mountains, Wollongong Beach, Jervis Bay, and Bateman’s Bay.

The trip was great fun, and after two months of being in Australia I finally saw kangaroos! Otherwise, it was a bit weird celebrating New Years on a beach in 90 degree weather.
